EWR · Newark Liberty International Airport
Newark Airport Car Service
Newark Liberty is the New York area's busiest airport for United and a common choice for international and West Coast flights. It is in New Jersey, so the trip to Manhattan crosses the Hudson through the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel. That makes timing and route choice especially important, and it is something a pre-booked chauffeur handles for you.
Luxury Ride Pro meets Newark arrivals at all three terminals and drives to Manhattan, Jersey City, Hoboken, Short Hills, Princeton and the rest of New Jersey. The pickup rules below come from the Port Authority's official Newark Airport pages.
Pickup rules last checked against the official airport website on October 18, 2026
Newark Terminals
Terminal A
Opened in 2022, used by Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue and United.
Terminal B
More than 25 international and domestic airlines, including Alaska, Lufthansa, Frontier and SAS.
Terminal C
Operated by United, with most of its domestic and international flights at Newark.
How Pickup Works at Newark
What the official Newark Airport site says about pickups:
- Booked car services: “follow the signs to the ground transportation pickup area in your terminal to find your driver.” The Information Center on the arrivals level can help.
- Curbs are for active pickups only. No parking alongside the terminals, unattended vehicles are towed, and drivers may not wait at the curb unless the passenger and bags are already there.
- The free Cell Phone Lot is near the airport entrance next to the P4 garage, with more than 100 spaces, under five minutes from all terminals.
- Ride-app pickup: Terminal A, arrivals level directly across the street; Terminal B, arrivals level on the terminal frontage; Terminal C, Floor 3 of the Terminal C Garage.
- The Port Authority advises ignoring anyone not in official uniform who offers transportation inside the terminal.

Meet & Greet: How Your Chauffeur Finds You
- 1We follow your flight live, including the long-haul arrivals that are common at Newark, and adjust the pickup to the actual landing time.
- 2Your chauffeur parks at the free lot beside the P4 garage and texts you once your flight is on the ground.
- 3Domestic arrivals are met at baggage claim with a digital name sign. International passengers are met outside the customs exit, which at Newark is most often Terminal B or Terminal C.
- 4The chauffeur takes you to the ground transportation pickup area for your terminal, where the car is brought up for loading.
Flight Tracking & Free Wait Time
Our dispatch team uses real-time flight tracking software and automatically adjusts your chauffeur's arrival time for early arrivals or delays, with free wait on delayed flights. Newark handles many long-haul international flights where immigration lines vary a lot, so international arrivals include extra free wait time.
Newark for New Jersey and Lower Manhattan
People think of Newark as “the New Jersey airport”, but for a lot of trips it is the best choice in the region. Jersey City and Hoboken are about half an hour away. The Holland Tunnel can put you in Tribeca or the Financial District faster than the drive from JFK at many times of day. MetLife Stadium is closer to Newark than to either New York airport.
For New Jersey suburbs such as Short Hills, Morristown, Montclair and Princeton, Newark keeps you off the bridges entirely. Hourly bookings work well for corporate visits to pharmaceutical and finance campuses along the I-78 and Route 1 corridors.
Terminals, AirTrain and Connections
Newark's three terminals sit in a horseshoe, with Terminal A on its own site after the 2022 rebuild. The AirTrain links the terminals with parking, the rental car center, hotel shuttles and the Newark Liberty International Airport rail station on the Northeast Corridor. You will not need it with a chauffeur, but it helps if you change terminals between flights.
Connections between Newark and JFK or LaGuardia are a common reason to book a car. United's long-haul schedule at Terminal C pairs with Delta or JetBlue domestic flights from New York, and a chauffeur is often simpler than two trains and a taxi with heavy bags.

Newark Tips From Our Dispatch Team
- Manhattan tunnel traffic is the biggest variable. Your chauffeur picks between the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels from live traffic, and tolls are in your quote.
- Newark is often the closest major airport for MetLife Stadium, Jersey City, Hoboken and central New Jersey, as well as for Lower Manhattan.
- If you are connecting between Newark and JFK or LaGuardia, allow plenty of driving time. Cross-Hudson transfers are the slowest airport-to-airport trips in the region.
- Terminal A opened in 2022 and has a modern, easy-to-navigate arrivals level. The chauffeur still meets you inside so you do not have to look for the pickup area.
Newark Car Service FAQ
Where do I meet my car service at Newark Airport?
Your chauffeur meets you at baggage claim (domestic) or outside the customs exit (international), then takes you to the ground transportation pickup area for your terminal, as the official Newark site describes.
Can a car wait for me at the Newark curb?
No. The Port Authority keeps Newark’s curbs for loading only, so our chauffeur parks off the curb and drives up once you have your luggage.
How long is the drive from Newark to Midtown Manhattan?
Roughly 35 to 60 minutes, depending mainly on tunnel traffic. Times are approximate.
Do you drive from Newark to MetLife Stadium on game days?
Yes. We combine an airport pickup with a stadium drop-off, or book a round trip with a post-event meeting point.
Is Newark car service priced differently from JFK?
Each trip is quoted on its own route, vehicle and tolls. Send your flight and destination for one all-in price.
